Faculty of Security

About the Faculty

Faculty of Security is a new faculty created in 2014 on the basis of the Complex Information Security Department. Creation of Faculty of Security allowed to combine all Information Security majors and specialties of TUSUR University.

Students of the Faculty study cryptographic, hardware and software and engineering methods and tools for information protection in conjunction with the institutional and legal framework of information security, as well as special subjects, depending on the chosen specialty. In addition Faculty of Security provides general professional training in programming technology and methods, design and operation of computer networks and systems, database management systems, etc.

Faculty of Security has educational laboratories:

• laboratory of electronics and circuit design
• teaching and research laboratory of safe electronic systems simulation and information-analytical systems and security systems operation
• Zaitsev laboratory of automation and security systems
• laboratory of technical means and methods of information security

Students have practical classes at the laboratory of safe biomedical technologies and integrated security systems. Laboratories are equipped with modern and widely used tools that allows students to acquire knowledge, which later successfully applied in their professional activities.

Faculty of Security is part of TUSUR Institute of System Integration and Security together with departments which carry out scientific research and practical work in the field of information security.

After graduating from the Faculty of Security graduates can continue their education on postgraduate program in major 05.13.19 "Methods and systems of information protection, information security".
