Bachelor program “Technical Maintenance of Radio Equipment”

Program code: 25.05.03

Specialization: Technical Maintenance of Radio Equipment of Aircraft and Airports
Department of Design and Production of Radioelectronic Equipment

Career description

The program provides training for key technical and engineering personnel for aircraft enterprises and airports. They provide technical maintenance of radio equipment used in aircraft, including radars, radio navigation and communication systems and installations that ensure the safety, reliability and efficiency of transportation services.

Graduates of this program work with:

radar, radio navigation and communication systems,

systems and tools for control and diagnostics of technical condition of running equipment,

communication systems for monitoring of aircraft movement and conditions,

aircraft movement control systems and aircraft proximity control systems.

Curriculum

The program curriculum includes more than 50 disciplines, including disciplines in physical and social sciences, general professional disciplines (electrical engineering and electronics, analogue and digital circuit engineering for electronic devices, microchip technology, programmable logical IC, digital signal processing, antennas and microwave devices, automation and control, radar and radio navigation systems, etc.); special disciplines (quality management in aviation engineering, reliability and diagnostics of radio equipment of aircraft, power equipment electromagnetic compatibility, flight safety, etc.).

Throughout their studies, students do internships at major Russian enterprises (located in Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Zheleznogorsk, Kemerovo), and starting from their second year, contribute to R&D projects or participate in project-based group learning.

All training is delivered by highly qualified faculty, and the curriculum is designed to ensure that students develop an operational mindset, build skills of self-management and self-instruction.

Graduates are awarded an Engineer’s diploma and can pursue a postgraduate degree.

Specialization: Information and Telecommunication Systems in Transport and Their Information Protection
Department of Design and Production of Radioelectronic Equipment

The field of professional activity of graduates in specialization No. 2 is technical operation and information protection of information and telecommunication systems on manned and unmanned air transport, ground and airborne radar and radio navigation complexes, communication systems that ensure the safety, regularity and efficiency of transport services.

The educational module of the specialty of specialization No. 2 includes such disciplines as flight safety, air traffic management, information security of manned and unmanned aerial vehicles, technical information protection, information protection of telecommunication systems, methods and means of electronic warfare, etc.

Training at the junction of the operational specialization, the radio engineering specialization and the specialization of information protection in information and telecommunication systems in transport is a unique combination of subject areas of three modern specialties and training areas, allowing you to get relevant and in-demand knowledge of an encyclopedic scale in just 5 years.
