TUSUR Improves Position in 2018 RUR Reputation Ranking by 58 Points

In the 2018 edition of the RUR Reputation Ranking, Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics has improved its position compared to the previous year.

In the 2018 edition of the RUR Reputation Ranking, Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics has improved its position compared to the previous year.

TUSUR University now ranks 642nd (compared to 700th in 2017) in the World League of universities, sharing a rank bracket with prominent universities such as the Kuwait University (629th), Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (647th) and the University of Genoa (677th).

The RUR Ranking Agency has analyzed university data from around the world based on a survey of 10,000 academic experts. Respondents were asked to identify up to 15 universities that they believe demonstrate excellence in teaching and research.

Reputation is one of the key competitive factors for international universities, as it has a great impact on how appealing a university is for prospective students and for academic and research professionals.

In the 2018 edition of the Global Universities Ranking, TUSUR ranked 57th among Russian universities (756th in the overall ranking), improving its positions in research, internationalization and financial stability. By income from research TUSUR ranks 157th globally, which is comparable to the positions of the MIT (149th) and the University of Cambridge (250th).

RUR Rankings Agency is an independent rankings publisher located in Moscow, Russia, that assesses universities in accordance with the goals of the key stakeholders: prospective and current students, academic community, university management and states. The agency publishes the Round University Rankings and is an official representative of the Times Higher Education University Rankings in Russia and the CIS.
