Priority-2030 is the largest in recent decades state program for university development that was launched in 2021. Its goal is to empower Russian universities to contribute to the achievement of national development goals of the Russian Federation by 2030 and leverage their excellence for the social and economic development of their respective regions. An important aspect of the program is that 70% of participating universities are from Russian regions outside of Moscow and Saint Petersburg. The total funding within the program in 2025 is 27.8 billion rubles, to be distributed among 100 participating universities.
