On 18 — 19 of May 2011 the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Singapore in Russia, Mr. Simon Tensing de Cruz and director of the Moscow office of the Committee on International Enterprise of Singapore, Mr Hanley Chan will visit TUSUR.
The cooperation has started in February of this year when the delegation of TUSUR visited the University of Burgundy in Dijon (France).
The fruitful mission to the University of Limoges in February allowed strengthening the relations between our universities and particularly enhancing academic mobility. The number of French students coming to our laboratories is increasing with every year. From a wide range of possible placements offered by their University, they choose TUSUR because of the high quality of our education.
Owing to the cooperation between our University and Taiwanese Trade Mission, TUSUR students can continue their education in one of the leading universities of Taiwan and get financial support.
TUSUR keeps developing its French cooperation network. The delegation comprising Vice-Rector for Research Prof. Shelupanov, Director of the Russian-French Center Dr. Babak and Dr. Mescheryakov from the Department of Complex Information Security of Computer Systems visited France from 24 January to 3 February in order to participate in the International Seminar in Limoges. The main goal of this event was to establish a new Erasmus Mundus Master program entitled «Technical and Socio-Economic Solutions for Autonomy of Disabled People». The project coordinated by the team from the University of Limoges will unite 8 universities from 6 countries: University of Limoges (France), TUSUR (Russia), Via Horsens (Denmark), Monash University (Australia), Sherbrooke University (Quebec, Canada), Halmstad University (Sweden), St. John University (New Brunswick, Canada), and Lulea University (Sweden).
The Industrial Technology Research Institute announces the beginning of annual contest for internship among undergraduate, master, and graduate students of TUSUR. Winners will receive ITRI grants covering accommodation during the internship, medical insurance and a monthly scholarship. TUSUR will select the most deserving applicants during the first stage of the contest. The second stage will be held by the Taiwanese side and they will determine internship winners.
Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics (TUSUR) held Annual International Conference on Higher Education Development “Role of Technical Universities in Modernization of Russian Economy” on January 27–28, 2011 in Tomsk, Russia.
The 9th Triple Helix International Conference will be organized in Silicon Valley, the world leading innovation and high-tech hub, by Stanford University Human Sciences and Technology Advanced Research Institute (H-STAR) on 11–14 July 2011. Conference main theme is «Silicon Valley: Global Model or Unique Anomaly?» The key operational unit organizing the event is the Triple Helix Research Group, consisting of Professor Henry Etzkowitz, the author of the Triple Helix model and the initiator of the Triple Helix International Conference Series and Dr. Marina Ranga, a member of the TH9 Steering Committee and the Chair of the Scientific Committee.
The Russian-Vietnamese Radioelectronics Research and Educational Center was established at TUSUR in December 2010. It was created on the basis of TUSUR Department of Design and Production of Radioelectronic Equipment and will serve as the Tomsk office of the research and production enterprise specializing in development of high-tech materials — NAPROTECH (Vietnamese Academy of Sciences).
Round table discussion “Interaction of universities, industry and government to establish Innovation Centers in Russia” took place in the conference hall of the Tomsk Regional Administration on November 29. It was part of the visit of Stanford University professor Henry Etzkowitz to Russia, organised by the TUSUR Institute of Innovation.
