AI, transparent displays and robotics: an overview of the final Demo Day of our University’s Accelerator event.
On June 5, the final Demo Day of the Startup Polygon VIII acceleration program took place at the TUSUR Student Business Incubator. The twelve strongest teams presented their startup projects to a panel of expert judges.
This year's final pool of projects impressed with its technological maturity, showcasing a strong focus on import-substituting hardware and complex B2B automation software. The competition for the prize fund was fierce, featuring not only TUSUR teams but also strong projects from leading universities across the country, including Ufa University of Science and Technology and ITMO University from Saint Petersburg.
The jury members, who included top managers, investors, and founders of leading tech companies in the region, had the difficult task of identifying the most viable and promising business models. The prize fund was divided among the projects that took the top three spots:
The work doesn't end with the Demo Day. The teams now look forward to individual meetings with mentors and trackers, where they will develop scaling strategies, plan their investor meetings and ways to secure their first major partnership contracts.
The event is supported by the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization "Platform of the National Technology Initiative," the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, and are part of the Federal Project “Technologies".
