TUSUR and Shandong University of Technology Meet to Discuss Cooperation

On December 26, a delegation of Shandong Polytechnic University paid a visit to TUSUR to discuss potential areas for cooperation in the future.

TUSUR University was represented by its President, Corresponding Member of the RAS Alexander Shelupanov and included the First Vice Rector Elena Kuzmina, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation Sergey Kuksenko, Director of Directorate for Academic Affairs Maxim Kim, Acting Head of Division of International Cooperation Yulia Gasheva and Head of Laboratory of Radiation and Space Materials Science Mikhail Mikhailov. The delegation of SDUT was headed by its Vice-President Chen Jing.

President of TUSUR University Alexander Shelupanov identified three areas of the University’s expertise as focus for potential joint projects: robotic systems and associated control systems, new materials and IT associated with mathematical methods and their application. He expressed hope that the ample experience of other members of the Consortium of Tomsk Universities will streamline any future endeavors.

First Vice-Rector Elena Kuzmina noted that TUSUR is looking forward to leverage the new opportunities that this potential cooperation is certain to open for its students.

Vice-President of SDUT Chen Jing noted that since 2026 and 2027 will be the Years of Russia-China Cooperation in Education, that will give impetus to new projects between the two partners, especially since TUSUR already implements research and education in areas that are of great interest to SDUT.

He emphasized that SDUT is open to various forms of cooperation, including joint degree programs and R&D. The parties have agreed to continue discussions in the nearest future.
