Students from China Arrived for a Two-Week Russian Course at TUSUR
TUSUR University has launched a new intensive Russian language program for potential students from China.
Over the course of two weeks, 12 high school graduates from China will be learning about Tomsk, TUSUR, and working hard to improve their Russian.
“As part of our strategy to appeal to talented graduates from Asia, we are engaging with high schools from various regions of China. Russian is one of the foreign languages that school students may opt to study in China, and it is these young people who are participating in our project this summer,” said the Head of the Division of International Cooperation Maria Afanasyeva.
The two-week course will help its first group of students from Henan, Shaanxi and Ningxia regions of China to practice and perfect their knowledge of the Russian language, and allow them to learn about TUSUR University and the degree programs it offers, and to experience the lifestyle and ambience of the student life in Tomsk.
“I have no doubt that their experiences here at TUSUR and in Tomsk will be a positive factor in the future as these students consider international destinations for their education,” said Maria Afanasyeva.
