TUSUR University has joined the delegation of Tomsk region at China Education Expo in Chengdu. Along with Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, Chengdu is one of the several Chinese cities hosting the China Education Expo 2017 where universities from 48 countries have come to present their academic programs. Russian higher education at the expo is represented by the Ministry and Education of Russia, Beijing office of Rossotrudnichestvo, Kazan Federal University, People’s Friendship University of Russia, Southern Federal University, Ural Federal University – a total of 33 exhibitors have arrived to the Expo from Russia.
As part of the visit, the delegation of Tomsk region will visit the Department of Education of Hubei, Department of Education of Shandong, Wuhan Polytechnic University, Central China Normal University and Shandong University to discuss potential joint projects and negotiate memoranda of understanding.
Today, cooperation in education is an important part of the Russia-China cultural ties. The two countries are working to expand their cooperation in academic exchanges, encouraging their students to study abroad. It is expected that by 2020, the number of Chinese students in Russia and Russian students in China will reach 100,000 people.
