TUSUR student participated in the World Robot Conference in Beijing

November 25, 2016

Vitaly Vasetsky, a 4th year student of the Department of Computer Control and Design Systems, participated in the CoSpace Rescue Challenge within the framework of the Pre-RoboCup Asia-Pacific Competition and Workshop.

Vitaly competed as a member of Proton team whose goal was to program a robot’s AI to perform a specific task. He has successfully adapted the code and demonstrated his skills in AI programming from scratch during the CoSpace Tech Challenge.

The conference offered a valuable chance for networking with teams competing in the RoboCup@home challenge – an event for which students of the Department of Computer Control and Design Systems are planning to design their own robot.

World Robot Conference was held in Beijing on October 21–25. Over 150 companies presented their latest robotics developments at the event. The Conference program included robot competitions in football and water polo and a robotics exhibition.
