Alexander Uvarov has invited Vygaudas Ušackas to return to Tomsk in September as a participant of the XII International Triple Helix Conference and to visit the 2018 Cyber Football World Cup. Mr.
Ušackas has assured TUSUR University that representatives of the EU will be present at these events.
Vygaudas Ušackas has talked about the perspectives for development of joint projects between Russia and the EU in education and research. “The EU and Russia are deeply interconnected, they share a common economic space, common history and one continent. My visit to Tomsk demonstrates our commitment to finding the niches and opportunities for mutually beneficial development, and we believe that science and research hold an important position in this process. The Triple Helix Conference was included in the event list of the EU—Russia Year of Science 2014. It’s rewarding to see that universities are particularly active in the programs of the European Union. Just recently the EU has launched its new program Horizon 2020, which has the budget of €80 billion. The program is open for scientists from Russia”, said Mr. Ušackas.
After the discussion, the guest was given a tour around the Student Business Incubator where he has learned about its residents.
