French days in TUSUR

On 5–9 June the delegation from University of Limoges worked in TUSUR

Professor Laurent Billonnet and Professor Jean-Michel Dumas arrived to Tomsk to discuss with colleagues from TUSUR the International Master program ERASMUS MUNDUS «Auto Home-e: Technical and socio-economic solutions for autonomy of disabled people». The idea of creation of the Program belongs to University of Limoges (France). This Master Program aims to train professionals in a new field of domestic hardware and software for disabled people.

During the meetings TUSUR teachers and researchers presented their work and selected the courses which will be included to the program.

The French colleagues also proposed to create a double degree program in «Electronics and Telecommunications» and to practice the double supervising of PhD students.

French students from University of Limoges presented the results of their internship in TUSUR to their research advisor Prof. Laurent Billonnnet. Their work consisted of collecting and analyzing data in order to develop a new device for persons with hearing problems.

Some cultural events were also organized by the Russian-French Centre of TUSUR:

  • Presentation of University of Limoges, by Prof. Laurent Billonnet, responsible for International cooperation at ENSIL, University of Limoges
  • University life in Limoges and Tomsk, by French interns: Thomas Maitre, Maxime Devilleger and Antoine Deleplanque
  • Activities of Russian-French centre of TUSUR, by Director of Russian-French centre Dr. Leonid Babak
  • Public conference «Smart-Home technologies for people in loss of autonomy», by Prof. Laurent Billonnet
  • French gastronomy (cheese and wine tasting).
