Agreement on cooperation between TUSUR and the French Embassy was signed in July 2010, and mutual desire to cooperate is getting stronger with every day, while agreement is expanding to cover more and more areas of interaction.
Representatives of Ritsumeikan University, the third largest private university in Japan, paid a visit to TUSUR on October 23–27, 2010. During this visit the delegation learned about scientific achievements of the «Nanotechnology» Research and Educational Center, Department of Design and Production of Radioelectronic Equipment, Department of Information Processing Automation, Department of Automated Control Systems and Robotechnics Laboratory of the Student Business Incubator.
From 19 to 23 October, within Rosnano educational program, Italian experts will present a series of lectures dedicated to «Modeling and Disigning of Nonlinear Highly Effective Microwave Devices». The course refers to measurements, nonlinear models, power amplifiers, oscillators and mixers, stability of nonlinear circuits, etc.
Professor Henry Etzkowitz of Stanford University will come to Tomsk on 29th November to launch the Russian translation of his book, The Triple Helix: University, Industry, Government. Innovation in Action.
TUSUR faculty and students took part in a photo expedition having visited Akkemskoye and Kucherlinskoye lakes at the bottom of Belukha Mountain, the highest peak of the Altay Mountains. Seven individuals with various levels of mountain climbing and photographic skills participated in the expedition.
Dmitry Klimenko, TUSUR student who has obtained a U.S. patent for his own method to visualize 3D photos, took part in the first run of a new TV program of the Russian «TV Center» channel.
Winners of the competition will depart for United Kingdom on August 9 to undergo three-week language training at Brooks University (Oxford).
